American Legion Post 302 helps the Hutto community properly retire worn and weathered American flags by maintaining a network of flag retirement boxes throughout the area. These secure drop‑off locations are hosted by partner businesses, civic buildings, and other public sites, each with its own address, general hours of access, and any special instructions from the host.

Post 302 regularly collects flags from these boxes and ensures they are retired with the dignity and respect they deserve, in accordance with proper flag etiquette. Individuals, businesses, schools, and organizations can use these locations to easily and respectfully dispose of unserviceable American flags while honoring the nation’s symbol.
