Richard A. Oman American Legion Post 302 – Services Overview
The Richard A. Oman American Legion Post 302 proudly serves veterans, military families, and the Hutto community through a range of supportive, community-focused programs. Our mission is to connect veterans with meaningful resources, provide fellowship, and strengthen community ties through service and engagement.

Veteran Support Services
Post 302 offers assistance to veterans through supportive programs, emotional and spiritual guidance, and access to local resources. This includes opportunities to meet with our Post Chaplain, participate in community-building gatherings, and receive help navigating available services when needed.

Transportation Assistance
Through our Shuttle Van Ride Program, Post 302 helps veterans access essential appointments, VA services, Post events, and community activities by offering transportation when volunteer drivers are available.

Community Service & Outreach
The Post regularly engages in community-centered projects and service programs that support veterans and their families. Our Duffel Bag Initiative provides essential items to those in need, and we frequently partner with local organizations, schools, and community groups to support broader outreach efforts.

Youth & Education Programs
Post 302 is committed to investing in the next generation through scholarships, youth engagement, educational outreach, and partnerships with groups such as the Hutto High School AFJROTC. These programs promote leadership, civic responsibility, and community involvement.

Veteran Fellowship & Events
We host a variety of events throughout the year that bring veterans and families together. These gatherings promote camaraderie, mental wellness, and a sense of belonging—whether through social events, service projects, or community celebrations.

Volunteer Opportunities
Post 302 provides ways for veterans, family members, and community supporters to give back through volunteering. Opportunities include assisting with events, helping with community programs, participating in outreach activities, or serving in leadership roles within the Post.

Our Commitment
American Legion Post 302 is dedicated to honoring all who served by offering meaningful programs, strengthening community connections, and creating a supportive environment for veterans and their families. Our goal is simple: to serve, support, and stand beside the veterans of Hutto and beyond.
