Financial Assistance Initiative

Richard A. Oman American Legion Post 302 is committed to supporting veterans and military families in times of financial need. Our Post is actively expanding its services, including the development of a dedicated Financial Assistance Program that will launch in 2026. This program will provide short-term, needs-based support for essential expenses such as emergency needs, housing stability, utilities, transportation, and other critical challenges faced by veterans in our community.

While our internal program is being built, we want veterans to know that immediate help is available through our partner agencies and regional support organizations. The Texas Veterans Commission, American Legion Department of Texas, local nonprofits, and various community-based assistance programs can offer emergency aid, benefits guidance, and crisis support right now. Post 302 remains fully committed to helping veterans access these resources and can assist with referrals, information, and direction to ensure timely assistance.

Our goal is to make sure that no veteran in the Hutto area faces hardship alone. By guiding veterans to current resources and preparing to offer our own financial assistance in the near future, Post 302 continues to strengthen its mission of service, stability, and community support.

If you or a veteran you know needs financial help or guidance, please reach out—Post 302 is here to support you every step of the way.
