Our Legacy in Service
Richard A. Oman American Legion Post 302 was chartered in December 2008 by local veterans who believed that service to country doesn't end when the uniform comes off. Founded on the principles of The American Legion—"For God and Country"—Post 302 has grown into a cornerstone of the Hutto community.
Over the years, Post 302 has lived its mission: supporting veterans in crisis, honoring the fallen, strengthening families, and investing in tomorrow's leaders.
Named after veteran Richard A. Oman, the Post carries a legacy of gratitude turned into action—where service to others is not just remembered, but lived out every day in Hutto. It is a promise kept: that no veteran, no military family, and no neighbor in need will stand alone.
